"That's strange. When I tried it on Himmel, it was powerful enough to make him faint," Frieren wondered, recalling how in her memory, the hero Himmel (voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto) had fainted, coughing up blood after being hit by the blow kiss.

The usually cool Frieren's blow kiss left many viewers knocked out, with reactions like "I can see why Himmel would be head over heels," "I can't stop grinning," and "This episode is definitely for adults only." It was a provocative scene that also drew comments like "It's as impactful as a Zoldark."

Currently, the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is being streamed in its entirety. It is based on the manga of the same name by author Kanehito Yamada and illustrator Tsukasa Abe, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday." The story is set in the world after the Demon King has been defeated, following Frieren, a 1000-year-old elf magician, as she journeys with her apprentice Fern and the warrior Stark to "learn about people."

The original comic has received numerous awards and enjoys immense support and acclaim, with over 24 million copies in circulation across 13 volumes. The TV anime, which aired from September 2023 to March 2024, became a huge hit, with several related words trending on X (formerly Twitter) after each episode aired. It has been announced that the second season of the anime will air starting in January 2026.
