The sixth numbered event for "Umamusume: Pretty Derby," titled "Umamusume: Pretty Derby 6th EVENT The New Frontier" Spring Performance, was held on May 24 and 25, 2025. On DAY 1, Kaori Ishihara, who plays Almond Eye, and Hina Youmiya, who plays Daring Tact, both made their stage debut, performing a passionate duet of "Ms. VICTORIA" among other highlights.

In this article, we interviewed Ishihara and Youmiya immediately after the end of the DAY 1 performance, asking about their impressions of their first stage and behind-the-scenes stories about the show.

—Congratulations on your first appearance in a numbered event!

Ishihara: The energy of the trainers was truly overwhelming! Some trainers even held up towels for us, the first-time cast, and although this event has a long history, they welcomed us so warmly that my nerves were eased. I had so much fun!

Youmiya: We practiced within the limited time we had, so there were days when I was worried like, "Will it be okay? What should I do?" and tears welled up in my eyes. But I finished without injury and saw all the trainers' smiling faces, so I'm a little relieved...!

—Naturally, the two of you on DAY 1 impressed everyone with your duet of "Ms. VICTORIA." It was wonderful.

Ishihara: Since the original version is sung by multiple performers, we felt pressure taking it on as just the two of us. But since Hina-chan was by my side, dancing the choreography together and singing in unison, I felt really reassured. It was a happy time where we tackled it together with just the right amount of excitement!

Youmiya: Honestly, I was the one who felt truly reassured! During the performance, when we looked at each other, I was filled with emotions that words can’t describe.
