Chiaki Kobayashi’s Birthday “Cute Gestures” Prompt Hiroki Yasumoto to Say “So Cute!” and “A Fool Who Just Came to Minato Ward”

On June 2 (Monday) at 10:00 PM, episode 7 of "Say You To Yo Asobi Monday" was broadcast on ABEMA’s “Anime LIVE Channel.”

This time, under the title “Happy 31st! Chiaki Kobayashi Birthday Special,” numerous segments were held to delight Kobayashi, whose birthday falls on June 4.

In the segment “Let’s Take a 31-Year Commemorative Photo!”, Yasumoto took the lead and aimed to capture Kobayashi’s cuteness by shooting 31 Polaroid photos.

Dressed as the photographer, Yasumoto insisted, “This is no time for complaints,” and demanded Kobayashi put on a party headband, saying “Put it on.” Furthermore, holding a balloon, Kobayashi asked, “Yasumoto-san, can you be the dad? So I can film as if I’m the child.” Embracing the role, Kobayashi acted as a child, calling out “Papa, Hiroki Papa!” during the shoot. Yasumoto also fully committed, giving enthusiastic instructions like, “Raise it up, then lower it! How about standing on one leg?” as if he were a professional photographer.

Yasumoto then had Kobayashi, wearing party sunglasses, sit on the sofa, and took photos. Looking at the snapshots, Yasumoto commented, “A fool who just came to Minato Ward, doesn’t even know how to have fun but ended up here.” The brilliant remark had the ABEMA comment section in stitches, with comments like, “Too funny, LOL!” and “Baka, LOL.”

After finishing the monumental task of taking all 31 photos, the group relaxed. When Kobayashi noticed a somewhat suspicious shot and asked, “What’s this?”, Yasumoto revealed, “When I took a photo of Kobayashi’s butt, it had a different kind of rawness…” and explained, “I quickly took a close-up butt shot,” which drew laughs.

Next, in a segment titled “Chiaki’s Favorite! Ice Cream Party Part 1,” and in keeping with him turning 31, 31 regional ice creams in assorted flavors appeared in the studio. Without a moment to savor them, Yasumoto urged Kobayashi, “Eat quickly! They’re melting!” which prompted him to rush and eat each one.

However, ten out of the 31 were local specialties from Kochi Prefecture, such as “salt” or “buntan” citrus, leading Yasumoto, who was serving as MC, to mutter, “Even though we said they were collected from all over Japan, almost all are from Kochi…” which brought laughter to the studio.
