Radiant Beauty Shines in Mado Magi Homura's Cosplay—Favorite Details Are the Skirt and Feather Textures!

On May 18, 2025, "The 18th Nippombashi Street Festa 2025 Naniwa Ward EXPO" was held in Osaka. Alongside photos of Raruchiki, who attended dressed as Homura Akemi from "Puella Magi Madoka Magica," we conducted an interview to hear about her favorite points of the cosplay, as well as cosplays she’d like to try in the future.

—What inspired you to cosplay as Homura Akemi from "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" at this Street Festa?

Raruchiki: Previously, I did a Devil Homura cosplay at another large event, but I wasn’t satisfied with my wig styling or the way I wore the costume due to my lack of skill at the time, and I also didn’t have the wings. That’s why I wanted to try again this time! Among all my cosplays, this is the one I’ve paid the most attention to detail and spent the most on, so I wanted as many people as possible to see it, which is why I chose the Street Festa!

—What are your favorite aspects of the costume?

Raruchiki: Of course, I’m pleased with the quality, but I especially love the sparkling effect when the light hits it, and the skirt’s light, feathery texture. The wings were custom-made for me, and I’m also really pleased with their quality and texture!
