The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the manga of the same name by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday." The story is set in the world "after" the Demon King was defeated, and depicts the journey of Frieren, a wizard who has lived for more than 1,000 years, to "understand humans." The original comics have won multiple awards and have received tremendous support and high praise. As of the 14th volume, the total number of copies issued has exceeded 24 million. It has also been decided that the second season of the TV anime will start airing in January 2026.
