——What inspired you to cosplay as Asuka Langley Sohryu from "Neon Genesis Evangelion" this time?

Saya Andalucia (hereafter, Saya): I work at a café bar in Minami, Osaka, and recently, we’ve had more and more visitors from overseas. Conversations often get lively when we talk about Japanese anime—especially "Evangelion."

Asuka is bold and cheeky, but she actually has a sensitive and hardworking side, which makes her a very captivating character. Because she’s loved by so many, I thought now would be the perfect time to take on the challenge and make her a conversation starter myself.
