Aiming to Be the Man Who Looks Best With a "Doya Face": Shotaro Morikubo, Nobuhiko Okamoto, and Masaya Fukunishi in Fierce Competition

ABEMA broadcasted episode #9 of “Say You To Yo Asobi” (Saturday) on the Anime LIVE Channel at 9 PM on June 28, 2025. In this episode, under the theme of “Who Looks Best With a ___ Face!? Facial Expression Battle Royale,” the hosts examined various expressions like happy faces, angry faces, and troubled faces, to see who could pull them off best.

First, the three took on missions such as the “Trump Card Cube Stabbing,” “Tablecloth Pull,” and “One-Shot Chopsticks Break” to determine who suits the “doya face” (smug face) the most. Masaya Fukunishi challenged the “Trump Card Cube Stabbing,” which required throwing a playing card into the gap of a Rubik’s Cube one by one. However, the cards didn’t fly as straight as he wanted, and he struggled, unable to pierce even a single card. With a blank face, he simply said, “Nothing.”

Next, Shotaro Morikubo aggressively threw the playing card, while Nobuhiko Okamoto, concerned for him, said, “That’s one of those things where your lactic acid builds up...” Morikubo succeeded, flashed a confident doya face, prompting Okamoto and Fukunishi to exclaim, “So cool!”

Okamoto then attempted the “Tablecloth Pull,” holding a plastic wine glass and muttering, “Eh, this is so light...It’s impossible.” He pulled the cloth vigorously, causing the wine glass to fly into the air, and he, too, showed an expressionless face.
