From Timid Girl to “Blood Giant”!? Impactful “Blood Corruption Unleash” Following Continuous “I’m Sorry”! Episode 3 of the Anime “Tougen Anki”

The third episode of the anime “Tougen Anki” has been airing sequentially since July 25. Homare Byobugaura (voiced by Manaka Iwami), a small and timid girl, shocked viewers by unleashing a terrifying “Blood Giant,” eliciting reactions such as, “What a huge gap!”

In Episode 3, “Blood Corruption Unleash,” new students including Shiki Ichinose (voiced by Kazuki Ura) are faced with a game of tag where immediate expulsion awaits the losers. When Shiki is caught up in an intense battle with Jin Kōgasaki (voiced by Kōtarō Nishiyama), Homare is nearly caught in the crossfire of Jin’s attack. Shiki quickly shields Homare, getting injured in the process. Shocked, Homare’s behavior becomes erratic as she repeats, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry...,” and says, “The only way left is to atone with my life...” Unable to control herself, she unleashes the demon’s power with a “Blood Corruption Unleash,” bringing forth an uncontrollable “Blood Giant.”

The appearance of the “Blood Giant,” something unimaginable as having come from Homare, created a buzz online with comments like “What an unbelievable gap,” “This seems dangerous,” and “She was so cute... but then!”
