[Photos/Images] "Such Incredible Quality!" The Astonishingly Detailed "Anime-Original Puppet Show" in Episode 17 of "My Dress-Up Darling" 1st

Episode 17 of Season 2 of the anime "My Dress-Up Darling" is currently airing starting from August 2. The anime-original production of a live-action puppet show has surprised viewers with reactions like, "Did they actually make puppets for this?" and "Wait, did an educational TV puppet show just start? lol".

In Episode 17, titled "800 Million," Marin Kitagawa (voiced by Hina Suguta), Wakana Gojō (voiced by Shōya Ishige), and Wakana’s grandfather Kaoru Gojō (voiced by Atsushi Ono), discuss the costumes they will use for the school festival. When Kaoru remarks, "Dividing up the work is just like making hina dolls," the scene transitions into live-action footage.

In the footage, surrounded by grass and flowers, a puppet modeled after Wakana gives a lesson on how to make hina dolls, a puppet of Marin responds cheerfully, and a puppet of Kaoru interjects with comments. At the top right corner of the screen, the corner title (apparently) "Manande Shirushiru" is displayed, making it feel just like a scene from an educational TV program.
