The anime My Dress-Up Darling (commonly abbreviated as “KiseKoi”) is based on the manga of the same name by Shinichi Fukuda. The story depicts the relationship between Wakana Gojō, a timid high school boy, and Marin Kitagawa, a beautiful and popular gyaru in their class, as they grow closer through cosplay.

[Synopsis]
After being told by people around her that she’s gained weight, Marin is shocked. When she tries on her previous cosplay costumes, most no longer fit—they’re all too tight. Though feeling down, Marin resolves to diet so she can cosplay again, when a piece of news arrives. Cheered up by what she sees, Marin invites Gojō out shopping.
