Mama + Witch? The Entry Name Chosen by the Former Super Ace Who Shot Down 100 "GQuuuuuuX" Was Too Literal

Once known as "the Witch" and feared as an ace pilot, did we just spot a surprisingly cute side to the conqueror? In episode 4 of the anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," attention is drawn to the entry name used by Shiiko Sugai (voiced by Manami Hanawa), a former Earth Federation Forces pilot, when she participates in the "Clan Battle."

Although Shiiko exudes a composed and calm demeanor, she was actually a super ace who shot down over 100 mobile suits during the One Year War. She has now retired from the battlefield, gotten married, and is raising children.

However, when rumors of a red Gundam reached her, Shiiko—once called "the Witch"—could not keep her blood from boiling. Displaying her obsession with the red Gundam, she declared, "Even if I lost the war, I haven't lost. I'll be the one to bring down the red Gundam," and entered the illegal mobile suit dueling competition "Clan Battle." During combat, Shiiko used her signature stigmata attack to corner Shūji Itō (voiced by Shimba Tsuchiya) and others.

While Shiiko radiated the air of a true powerhouse, her entry name in the Clan Battle stands out! Perhaps owing to her being a mom and a witch, she used the rather straightforward name "MAMAMAJO" (literally, Mama Witch).
