"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the original manga of the same name, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, and currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. Set in the world after the demon king has been defeated, the story follows Frieren, a mage who has lived for over 1,000 years, as she embarks on a journey to "learn about people." The original manga, which has received high praise and won numerous awards, has 14 volumes published so far and has sold over 30 million copies in total. It has also been announced that the second season of the TV anime will air starting January 2026.
