[Photos/Images] Not "You" but "I Am" Shock! "Gintama's" Art Style Transformed into a Post-Apocalyptic World, Even the Punchline Was Chaotic 1st

The anime "Gintama," known for its outrageous parodies, parodied that iconic work representing Jump in the 1980s in Episode 183!? You're sure to burst out laughing at the characters transformed into a gekiga-style art completely unlike the usual "Gintama," and the phrase "I Am Shock"!

At the beginning of Episode 183, Shinpachi Shimura (CV: Daisuke Sakaguchi), with strangely broadened shoulders, walked alone through a city turned into ruins. Overlapping with this was the line "I won't let those scoundrels do as they please with this ugly yet beautiful world!" and a guitar intro... In the opening video (?) that suddenly began, gekiga-style Shinpachi, transformed into a muscular physique, engaged in intense battles set to the phrase "I Am Shock."

At this parody reminiscent of that monumental action manga set in a post-apocalyptic world, Shinpachi couldn't help but retort, "The art style has completely changed, but what is thiiis!?" Furthermore, with mohawk mob characters and high-tension narration, just as it was getting more and more like a certain anime, suddenly the art style became wobbly and limp as if it had run out of energy...

However, when the usual opening song "Light Infection" by rock band Prague played, and just when fans thought it would reset to the normal opening, although what was being depicted—such as the group shot of the three Yorozuya members—was the same as the usual footage, only the art style had changed to something that looked as if it had been drawn with a mouse. Many fans must have been wide-eyed at the torrentially free-spirited direction from start to finish.
