Zoom in

——What inspired you to cosplay as Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling this time?

amyu: Of course, I love the series, but what really moved me was Marin-chan's dedication to fully enjoying what she "likes"! Her straight-forward approach to life, believing in her own passions, is so charming, and that inspired me to want to shine brightly like her.

——What points did you focus on expressing with this cosplay?

amyu: I don't usually have a gyaru (gal-like) aesthetic, so I carefully studied her expressions and posing to capture Marin-chan's signature bright and positive vibe! Above all, I focused most on the eye makeup, wanting to recreate her unique look: those slightly upturned, yet gentle and adorable eyes.

——What do you find appealing about My Dress-Up Darling?

amyu: Since I love cosplay and creative work (sōsaku), My Dress-Up Darling is a series I deeply empathize with. I find the characters truly adorable and charming as they cherish their own "likes" and express them wholeheartedly. Since I'm still relatively new to cosplay, I get a lot of inspiration and learn a lot from the series!
