The anime 'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End' is based on the manga of the same name, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, serialized in "Weekly Shōnen Sunday." Set in the world "after" the Demon King has been defeated, it tells the story of Frieren, a mage who has lived for over 1,000 years, setting out on a "journey to learn about humans." The original comic, which has received numerous awards and high praise, has 14 volumes published and surpassed 32 million copies in cumulative circulation. Furthermore, the second season of the TV anime has been confirmed to broadcast starting in January 2026.
