Season 2 will depict the journey of these three and the strengthening bond woven between them. The newly released PV offers glimpses of this bond amidst beautiful scenery. The video also incorporates the intense battle scenes that are one of the key appeals of the Frieren anime, raising anticipation for Season 2.

Driving the excitement of this PV is milet's Season 2 ED theme, "The Story of Us." It is a medium-tempo number that observes the journey of Frieren and her companions, offering words that gently yet firmly push them forward, all woven together by milet's signature clear, yet powerful, singing voice. This track presents a different kind of charm compared to the Season 1 ED theme, "Anytime Anywhere."

milet, who performs "The Story of Us," shared her thoughts on the song and her affection for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End: "I am overjoyed to be able to embark on a journey with Frieren and her companions, and with you, once again. Every step forward, every pause, every moment of reflection—they all have meaning. I wrote 'The Story of Us' with the hope that this song can protect you in all those times, serving as a lucky charm. In addition, "The Story of Us" was arranged by Evan Call, who handles the in-show music for the Frieren anime, following up on his work on the Season 1 ED theme, "Anytime Anywhere." Evan Call commented: "This collaboration has come to fruition again! I am truly delighted to participate in the world of Frieren once more through milet's music. This song possesses a coexistence of gentleness and strength, resonating deeply within the heart. Season 2 will air starting January 16, 2026, every Friday at 11:00 PM on the Nippon TV network across 30 nationwide affiliates under the "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT" programming block. The luxurious production team—including Director Tomoya Kitagawa, Assistant Director Daiki Harashina, Director Cooperation Keiichiro Saito, Music by Evan Call, and animation studio Madhouse—and the main voice cast, such as Atsumi Tanezaki are all part of the Frieren team, and now milet's ED theme adds another great "magic" to it.
