The anime "GINTAMA - Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class" is based on the spin-off novel "Gintama: 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei" of the hugely popular manga "Gintama" by Hideaki Sorachi. The original manga, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) and other publications from 2003 to 2019, has recorded a cumulative worldwide circulation (including digital editions) of 73 million copies, and the TV anime, theatrical anime films, and live-action films have all been well received. "GINTAMA - Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class" is a school comedy set in Class 3-Z at Gintama High School, featuring familiar characters led by homeroom teacher Ginpachi Sakata (CV: Tomokazu Sugita).

[Synopsis]
A small skirmish ignites, and Gintama High School and Yato Technical enter into a state of conflict.
Kamui, the boss of Yato Technical who dislikes pointless fights, sends a challenge letter to Gintama High School to settle the situation.
The plan is to settle things with a war between the two schools, with Takasugi and Kamui as the respective supreme commanders.
As various thoughts from the principal, students, and others intersect, the day of the decisive battle arrives.
Gintama High has five people, including Takasugi. Facing them are 100 students from Yato Technical. The battle to defend the delinquents' pride has begun!
