[Photos/Images] "He looks delicious, just like a meat bun!" Fans gush over steaming "freshly-steamed" Hachiware in Chiikawa Episode 142 1st

In Episode 142 of the anime Chiikawa, it was revealed that the adorable raincoats made by Pochette no Yoroi-san (CV: Tomokazu Sugita) still have some room for improvement. The episode featured Hachiware (CV: Makoto Tanaka) getting so stuffy inside his raincoat that steam began billowing from his head.

In the first half of the episode, Chiikawa (CV: Haruka Aoki), Hachiware, and Usagi (CV: Ari Ozawa) are seen wearing the raincoats crafted by Yoroi-san. However, a minor mishap occurs when Usagi’s ears accidentally tear through his coat.

In the second half, Yoroi-san creates makeshift ear covers to fix the issue. While Hachiware’s raincoat is equipped with a special towel-storage system, Yoroi-san mutters to himself that there is still "room for improvement." Shortly after, Hachiware’s hood pops off—perhaps because it was too tight—revealing him steaming like a "hokuhoku" (freshly-steamed) bun due to the heat trapped inside.

Fans immediately took to social media to react to the scene, with many comparing Hachiware to a snack: "Steaming Hachiware looks so delicious, like a meat bun!" and "I’ll take one freshly-steamed Hachi-bun, please! lol" Other fans commented on the details, saying things like, "It's so cute how they just let him put the ear covers on," "Raincoats really do get stuffy, don't they?" and "I can't wait to see the improved version!"
