In Episode 48, the final episode of the second season, Jinshi and Maomao shared a moment together following the suppression of the Shi Clan. Jinshi appeared utterly exhausted, his face marked with a fresh wound. Suddenly, he turned to Maomao and asked, "Am I a man whose value is lost with a single scar? Am I nothing more than a hollow facade?" Maomao shook her head with a smile, replying, "Actually, a few more scars might be better. You look even manlier than before, don't you think?" To Maomao, while Jinshi is peerlessly beautiful, his true value lies in his sincere character rather than just his looks.

Hearing this, Jinshi’s expression shifted as if he were fighting an internal battle. He suddenly grabbed Maomao by the shoulders and moved in for a kiss, muttering, "I intended to hold back given the situation, but..." Sensing the impending "danger," Maomao tried to deflect: "Master Jinshi, wouldn't it be better if you got some sleep?"
