The theatrical film "The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie" is set for a nationwide release on Friday, February 13, 2026. Based on the coming-of-age rom-com manga by Norio Sakurai currently serialized in Akita Shoten’s Champion Cross, the series became a major hit following its first TV season in April 2023 and its second season in January 2024.

While the TV anime depicted the blossoming romance between the "chuunibyou" boy Kyotaro Ichikawa and the innocent, cheerful Anna Yamada, this film features a re-edited version of the TV series from Ichikawa’s perspective, interspersed with brand-new footage, including a live performance scene by Ichikawa’s older sister, Kana (affectionately known as "Onee").

Ahead of the release, a completion screening event was held on Saturday, January 17, 2026. A talk session was conducted featuring Shun Horie (voice of Ichikawa), Hina Yomiya (voice of Yamada), and General Director Hiroaki Akagi.

Horie and Yomiya appeared on stage wearing school uniforms, complete with name tags for Ichikawa and Yamada. After the initial greetings, Horie—donning a uniform for the first time in about 14 years—quickly quipped, "This isn't a hobby, I promise!" to the laughter of the audience. He then shared an anecdote about how he used to wear a similar gakuran (stand-up collar uniform) back in middle school.

Yomiya, who had recently changed her hair to an ash greige, had dyed it back to black just like Yamada’s for the event. "My hair was a bit lighter until recently, but I went back to black for today. I’ve still got some 'inner color' (under-layer dye) left, so I look a bit like a delinquent student (lol)," she commented, drawing both applause and laughter from the crowd.
