General Director Akagi, whom Horie noted looked like "a teacher standing with his students" next to Yomiya, was asked about the highlights of the movie. "I’d say it’s the new footage. It was based on ideas from scriptwriter Jukki Hanada and passionately crafted by the staff under Director Chen Dali’s vision," he replied.

When the topic turned to the voice recording process, Akagi revealed a production secret: "The recording for this project wasn't done with a 'fixed-length' (teijaku) method in order to broaden the range of their acting. We let them perform without being restricted by the visuals, and in fact, we crafted the animation based on the influence of their performances." Horie and Yomiya both showed reactions of genuine surprise to this revelation.

Horie looked back on the school trip arc from Season 2, saying, "There was a scene where they told us, 'We’ll leave the rest to you two.' The 'bold' (on-screen dialogue timer) for our ad-libs stayed up for a remarkably long time!" Akagi explained his reasoning: "Your acting felt so raw and natural that I felt it was better to rely on those performances."*

Expanding on their character preparation, Horie revealed that he had referenced YouTube videos of children during the development stage. However, he shared that at the actual recording studio, he threw away his preparations and built the performances of Ichikawa and Yamada organically through his interactions with Yomiya.

Regarding what she kept in mind, Yomiya reflected, "I believe her innocent and cheerful nature is Yamada's charm, so even if there was something I wanted to try during the actual take, I intentionally avoided doing it during the practice stage to keep it fresh."
