When the anime adaptation proposal came for the manga I drew freely in Young Magazine, my feeling was "Wait, they can do that?" and when the script and character designs arrived, I felt both joy and the resolve of the anime production team thinking, "Wait, they can actually do it as-is..."
The animation, opening, and ending songs we've already received are all high quality, and all of us creators are deeply moved.
As a viewer, I'm looking forward to the anime "Chainsmoker Cat" being broadcast on public airwaves.

▼Yanineko (cv. Yūko Natsuyoshi)

21 years old, beastfolk, heavy smoker. Real name: Yaniko Satō.
Cigarettes take priority over everything in her life, and she lives lazily in a cigarette-smelling filthy room.
Her younger sister says "her face and body are her only redeeming qualities," and the neighborhood children call her "Yanikasu" (cigarette trash).
There's nothing wrong with a cat like this existing.

Q1. Please tell us about the appeal of this work
The daily life of a heavy smoker being portrayed through a cat character is somehow captivating...!
There are quite a few deep smoker-specific relatable moments that appear naturally, so it's fun to read.

Q2. Please tell us your impression of the character
Even though Yanineko is really disgusting, there's something cute about her, which I find mysterious.
She does things that cross the line as a person as if it's totally normal, so she's so terrible that I end up laughing, but I also think maybe it's okay because she's a cat...?
