Lead Voice Actress Miho Okasaki Talks About Recording Episodes for "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea"

——We previously interviewed you during the broadcast of Season 2. It's been about five years since then, and about eight years since the series began—you've been continuously playing Rimuru all this time.

Okasaki: For these eight years, I've been involved with Rimuru almost every week. Senior voice actors have told me "this is quite rare," and I truly feel that way. I'm happy and honored that a future is promised where I can engage even more closely with "TenSura" than before, with Season 4 being broadcast across all five cours.

——Has playing Rimuru become something like the foundation of your activities as a voice actress?

Okasaki: Yes, absolutely, tremendously so! Even now, I feel that "TenSura" and Rimuru continue to teach me many firsts.

While I also feel I need to evolve more as an individual, because I've been by Rimuru's side the whole time and can share the same sense of temperature, there's also a sense of reassurance—like feeling Rimuru's voice saying "Let's do this the way we always do."

——That's wonderful! By the way, I was surprised during Season 2 that including the spin-off "The Slime Diaries," it was nine consecutive months of broadcasting, but I'm also amazed that Season 4 will be five split cours.

Okasaki: Right? When we announced it, not only the fans but also people within the industry were extremely surprised—that was impressive (lol).

——I think being able to enjoy it thoroughly over a long period also connects to what makes "TenSura" what it is.

Okasaki: We have an attitude of working hard as an entire team to build excitement, so for those who may have drifted away from "TenSura," with the theatrical film opening in February followed by the TV anime starting in April, I'd love for people to come back with this opportunity, and for those who will become friends with us from now on, I hope you'll immerse yourselves deeply in "TenSura."
