The series has sparked social phenomena since its TV broadcast in 1995, and the final film, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, released in 2021, surpassed 10 billion yen at the box office. This festival celebrating the 30th anniversary milestone attracted approximately 30,000 fans over the three days. The final day's "Final Program" featured a gathering of luxurious voice cast members on stage, including Megumi Ogata who plays protagonist Shinji Ikari, as well as Yoko Takahashi, Chief Director Hideaki Anno, Director Kazuya Tsurumaki, and Director Mahiro Maeda.

The three-day grand festival "EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION," where voice cast, production staff, and fans came together to grandly celebrate the Evangelion series' 30th anniversary. Director Tsurumaki also called out to the venue, "Thank you for these three days. I approached this 30th anniversary with feelings of disbelief, but I couldn't believe that so many people would come over these three days. I'm truly glad we did this, and I'm full of happiness. Thank you very much!"

Furthermore, Takahashi showed her moved feelings, saying, "So many people have truly worked hard to create this three-day event. I think it was all with the single-minded desire to make everyone happy. Just being able to stand here like this has become a new treasure in my life. Thank you so much for these three wonderful days."
