—She approaches Eiyū very directly, saying things like "Doing lewd stuff is okay too," but she balances her special feelings for him with her desire to hang out with the other heroines?
Hiratsuka: She has special feelings for Eiyū, and there's a part of her that thinks "Onii-chan is mine!", but at the same time, the other childhood friends are like older sisters she loves. I don't think those two emotions conflict at all.
—That’s a very nuanced relationship, and hearing that makes a lot of sense! By the way, Mr. Urao, how do you see the relationship between the heroines?
Urao: I think everyone became more honest once Runako arrived. Not just Shio and Akari, but Eiyū himself started showing his feelings for his childhood friends more.
—The mood of the series changes quite a bit depending on whether Runako is there or not.
Urao: Surprisingly, Runako might be the one driving the energy of the scene. She always jumps on whatever is fun. It feels like she’s moving on pure instinct.
Hiratsuka: Shio-chan and Akari-chan always seem so flustered.
—Shio and Akari were so frustrated because they wanted to invite him to the fireworks display but couldn't, whereas Runako just wasn't there to be able to invite him.
Urao: If she had been there, it would’ve been wild (lol).
—So she has feelings for Eiyū, but also wants to have fun with Shio and Akari. She pushes her way in sometimes, but if the vibe is fun, she just goes with the flow.
Hiratsuka: Exactly!
—Another memorable Runako moment is in Episode 5, when the three girls are in the bath and she keeps quiet about Eiyū hiding in the tub to make him "owe her one."
Hiratsuka: In that scene, Runako was the only one who knew Eiyū was there.
Urao: Right! Like, at what point did she even notice?
—Do you think Runako just chose whatever would be most fun in that moment?
Urao: Maybe she was... protecting him?
Hiratsuka: Or maybe she just wanted to create something like a secret just between the two of them.
Urao: That’s scary!
Everyone: (lol)
