On March 22, an advanced screening and talk event for the TV anime "Daemons of the Shadow Realm" was held in Tokyo. In attendance were Kensho Ono (Yuru), Yume Miyamoto (Asa), Yuichi Nakamura (Dera), Misaki Kuno (Gabu-chan), and Junichi Suwabe (Jin). A large crowd of fans gathered at the venue ahead of the screening, welcoming the speakers onto the stage with thunderous applause and cheers. The event began in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

In his opening remarks, Ono addressed the crowd: "Thank you all for coming today. Since we’re speaking before you watch the episodes, there’s a limit to what I can say, but I want to do my best to convey the charm of this series." Miyamoto added with a smile, "I'm so happy to see so many people here. I’m actually a bit jealous that you all get to watch this on a theater screen!" Following them, Nakamura, Kuno, and Suwabe each offered their greetings.

During the opening talk with the MC, the cast interacted with the audience, many of whom were already fans of the original manga. The conversation also touched upon collaborative projects with "Fullmetal Alchemist," adding to the excitement.

When asked about their first impressions of the manga during the talk session, Ono revealed his deep connection to his character: "I got totally absorbed and read all the way to the latest volume; I really felt Arakawa-sensei’s touch. Even amidst the serious plot, there are comical beats and fun slices of life—the balance is exquisite. Once I was cast as Yuru, I started reading from his perspective. He carries so much on his shoulders that I found myself watching over him, wondering how he would make his decisions."

Miyamoto shared her perspective as a fan: "I love Arakawa-sensei’s 'Silver Spoon' and its gentle depiction of daily life. While the trailers for this series give a solemn impression, it also features those daily gag parts and peaceful scenes like in 'Silver Spoon,' and I love that gap between the serious moments. I remember being so excited to see the pacing of the anime and the performances of the cast. I’m also looking forward to seeing the various 'Tsugai' (Daemons) partners that will appear later."

Nakamura reflected on the early days: "When I auditioned, there weren't many volumes out yet, so I wasn't sure where the story was headed. I can't talk about the recent developments here, but I'm currently right in the middle of being completely drawn into the world."

Suwabe sent a message of encouragement to his character: "It’s interesting. I’m dying to know what happens beyond the latest volume. Hang in there, Jin!"

Kuno expressed her amazement: "When I first read the manga, I was shocked by the world-building and settings. I’ve never seen a world quite like this. The meticulous character details show Arakawa-sensei's originality and incredible imagination. Since I couldn't predict the plot at all, it was a thrill to read."
