The topic then moved to the completed anime footage. Ono noted: "It’s simply incredible. Seeing what I read in the manga get voices, colors, and music made my internal image expand clearly. My heart was pounding the whole time. Especially in episodes 1 and 2—from Yuru’s perspective, it’s pure panic!" Miyamoto added, "It’s so much fun! I'm actually a bit worried about how people who don't know the source material will take the first two episodes. Beyond the content, the music really moved me; the sense of speed in the score got my heart racing."
Nakamura pointed out a specific highlight: "Ayumu Murase is in it! He plays Gabriel, Gabu-chan’s Tsugai, in the first two episodes. He plays various roles, so please look out for him. I saw how much he was struggling in the recording booth, so he might be the one most nervous about the result (lol)."
Kuno shared her thoughts from her character's viewpoint: "The visuals and music are wonderful; I was very moved. I haven't had many chances to play a role like Gabu-chan, so it was a challenge for me. From Gabu-chan's perspective, she does something quite outrageous. I watched the first episode with a pounding heart."
Suwabe left the audience with a teaser: "Those who’ve read the manga know the general vibe, but if I say anything more, I'll spoil it. Just know that something crazy is about to happen on this screen."
Regarding character descriptions and acting choices, Ono explained: "Yuru is a young man living a modest but happy life in a remote mountain village. My impression is that he had to grow up quickly because of his environment and the absence of his parents. While he seemed mature in the manga, as I read on, I realized he is actually quite young. In episodes 1 and 2, his sister Asa is his only blood relative, so I focused on portraying how much he treasures her and uses words meant to reassure her."
Miyamoto commented on her role as the twin sister: "Asa is Yuru’s sister. She has a deep connection with Gabu-chan, so look forward to that. In recording, I wanted to emphasize the blood connection since they are twins. Sometimes our lines have similar phrasing, so I try a little bit to mirror Ono-san’s delivery."
Nakamura described Dera: "Dera is a peddler who occasionally visits Yuru’s village to sell goods. He’s like a friendly older brother figure to Yuru. He also knows a bit more about the world than everyone else."
Kuno shared a behind-the-scenes secret: "Gabu-chan always wears a red hoodie and her braided hair is her charm point. Before the recording for Episode 1 started, I had a private meeting with the staff where Arakawa-sensei told me specifically about Gabu-chan’s background settings that haven't been drawn in the manga yet. I built my character based on that information."
Suwabe kept it brief for his character: "Jin is everyone’s favorite—suit and glasses. He’s good at his job and has a sharp, scary look in his eyes."
