▼Shitara[CV: Akari Sekine]
A lonely girl who has lost her mother and been torn far from her homeland. She is taken in by a scholar's family and spends peaceful days while being granted wisdom, but loses everything when the Mongol Empire attacks...
I'm Akari Sekine, who will be voicing Shitara. I can't forget the shock I felt when I read the original work. When I heard that I got the role of Shitara, I felt joy at being able to walk with her, but also great tension and pressure. However, during recording, I was supported by many seniors and staff members, and I was able to take on many challenges as much as time allowed while feeling the love and passion for this work! I hope you'll enjoy it! Thank you very much everyone!!
▼Fatima (CV: Houko Kuwashima)
Muhammad's mother and a kind-hearted lady. She takes in Shitara, who has become completely alone in the world, and cherishes her like her own child.
After seeing the original manga, I was shocked that they were going to animate this! and I really wanted to be involved. During the dubbing session, I felt the extraordinary passion the staff had for this work, and I'm looking forward to it even more. I play Fatima, who has a major influence on the life of the girl Shitara. Fatima is an intelligent person who has a privileged position for a woman of this era and is also an intellectual. I hope to pour as much love as possible into the short scenes with Shitara. Everyone, please let your emotions be thoroughly shaken along with Shitara in this work.
▼Muhammad (CV: Jun Saito)
Fatima's son and an intelligent boy. He teaches young Shitara the importance of learning, and he himself sets out on a journey to encounter all kinds of wisdom and search for truth.
I had the honor of voicing Muhammad. I feel that Muhammad is someone who has a great influence on the protagonist and embodies the value of knowledge. I was very attracted to his gentle and calm personality. I was happy to be involved in the work among professional voice actors, and although the tension never disappeared, it was a site where I learned important things. Please look forward to the broadcast.
▼Tolui (CV: Ryota Suzuki)
The fourth son of Mongol Empire Emperor Genghis Khan. He possesses the empire's greatest military power and repeatedly invades other countries.
I, Ryota Suzuki, will be voicing Tolui, who has the innocence to brighten the atmosphere and displays excellent martial skills. In this work set in the Mongol Empire, I learned about cultures and languages I had never encountered before, and my knowledge expanded. While fully utilizing the appeal of the original work, the animation beautifully depicts the fine details, so please look forward to it. Thank you very much!!
▼Shira (CV: Miyu Irino)
A boy who became a prisoner of the Mongol Empire. He has a cunning side, aiming for survival and advancement by ingratiating himself with Tolui.
I am one of the fans fascinated by the "beautiful" and "cruel" story drawn by Tomato Soup-sensei. While I couldn't stop reading through the manga, I remember the feeling of being afraid to turn to the next page... At the dubbing site as well, careful recording was conducted taking plenty of time. While cherishing the appeal of the original work, the expressions unique to animation are wonderfully fused, and I feel the production team's deep love for the work. This time, I am very happy to work with Director Abel for the first time, and to work on a production with Chief Director Yamada again. Please look forward to the broadcast.
