Kurosawa: "Eleven years ago when this project started, there was almost nothing you could find to hear what a euphonium sounded like, but Mr. Hokazono's album was right there, shining. I listened to his sound the whole time while going to recording sessions. Back then, I felt just like a member of a wind orchestra club, so now I feel as if a dream has come true. This work has run for such a long time and has been connected by many people to reach this point. I want to keep passing on this baton that we've all held together. I want it to reach more and more people. That is what I hope. We put our hearts into this production, so I want many people to see it. Kitauji is going to work hard to win the gold! 'Kitauji Fight! Oh!!'"

Director Ogawa: "Standing here now is a great honor and very moving; I truly want to keep connecting things. There is, of course, a sequel coming, and I want to weave that together properly. That is the theme of this movie. I want to continue making this a work that you'll remember when something happens in your future. So, I hope you'll come to the theater and see it."
