The anime Daemons of the Shadow Realm is based on the latest manga by Hiromu Arakawa, currently serialized in Monthly Shonen Gangan. It is a supernatural fantasy that follows a young boy named Yuru who, after his home village is attacked, begins to uncover the folklore, mysteries, and secrets hidden within the village.
Episode 3: "Dera and Hana"
[Synopsis]
Yuru was told that his twin sister Asa—the only family he thought he had—was a fake, and that the girl with the eye patch who broke the barrier to attack Higashimura is his actual blood-related "real sister, Asa." The attackers' target is Yuru himself. Amidst the confusion, Yuru escapes the village with Dera to prevent further damage. He joins up with Hana, who works as a Guardian alongside Dera. Taken down the mountain in a car, Yuru begins to learn the rules of modern civilization and society, despite his bewilderment. Meanwhile, Jin was seen at a certain apartment complex.
