At that moment, what crossed Frieren's mind must have been a memory of a conversation from her former party. In a flashback, Eisen (CV: Yoji Ueda), the party's warrior at the time, asked Himmel just as Stark did: "Why do you say you can entrust your life to me?" Eisen continued, "I’m a man who abandoned his village and ran away," to which Himmel kindly replied, "I see. Then if you ever want to run away, let’s all run away together. After all, we’re a party."

The next moment, Himmel and his party were ambushed by a giant monster and chose to escape. Himmel dodged a fire attack with graceful movements and, while working with Eisen to block the enemy's strikes, he scooped Frieren up in his arms. Saying, "Well then, let’s run away," he carried Frieren and fled from the monster.

The escape scene, which was depicted in only a single panel in the original manga, was expanded into an anime-original sequence with high-impact animation, leaving fans online ecstatic. Many joyful comments were seen, such as "Himmel is so cool," "The animation is amazing," "What is this movement!?" and "I’m so happy they added more battle scenes!"
