New TV Anime "THE GHOST IN THE SHELL" to Premiere July 7! 3rd Key Visual & PV Unveiled

It has been officially decided that the latest TV anime series, "THE GHOST IN THE SHELL," will begin broadcasting on July 7 (Tuesday) on the Kantele/Fuji TV nationwide network within the "Hi-Anival!!" block. Along with this announcement, the third key visual and third promotional video have been released. Furthermore, details regarding the story, characters, and additional staff have been unveiled all at once, and the official website has fully launched.

Since Masamune Shirow first published "Ghost in the Shell" in the "Young Magazine Pirate Edition" in 1989, the series has remained a monumental pillar of cyberpunk sci-fi. Starting with director Mamoru Oshii’s film "GHOST IN THE SHELL," it continues to exert a profound influence on creators and cultural scenes worldwide.

The newly released third key visual was specially drawn by Nao Naito, who serves as the chief animation director for this project. It features the protagonist Motoko Kusanagi—a cyborg with a full-body prosthesis—at the center, surrounded by members of Public Security Section 9, including Bato and Togusa, as well as the AI-equipped thinking tank, Fuchikoma.

Additionally, the third promotional video, composed of new footage from the anime, offers a glimpse into the intense drama surrounding the mysterious hacker known as "The Puppet Master," alongside the active operations of Public Security Section 9.

Animation production for this series is handled by Science SARU, a studio that enjoys high acclaim both domestically and internationally. The staff includes director Moko-chan, series composition and script by Toh EnJoe, and character design and chief animation direction by Shuhei Handa. Newly announced staff members include art director Emi Katanosaka, art supervisor Osamu Masuyama, color designer Satoshi Hashimoto, director of photography Hikari Ito, editor Kiyoshi Hirose, sound director Yuji Tange, sound effects by Shota Yaso, and recording by Yasuaki Ota, all of whom have shared passionate comments.
