On ABEMA's "Anime LIVE Channel," "Say You To Yo Asobi Friday [Tomokazu Seki x Kikunosuke Toya] #2" was broadcast on Friday, May 1st, from 10:00 PM.
This broadcast featured various segments, such as "Sleepover Talk," where the new MC Kikunosuke Toya peppered Tomokazu Seki with questions, and a comedy project brought in by Toya himself. It was a high-energy night, typical of a Friday show.
■ Tomokazu Seki Reveals Regrets of His Youth... "Bedtime Talk" with Kikunosuke Toya
The program first held a segment titled "Shall We Talk Instead of Sleeping? Questions for Mr. Seki During a Sleepover." Since the previous premiere focused mainly on the new MC, Toya, this segment was realized at Toya’s request to "have a deep conversation with Mr. Seki." While Toya gave a "pillow arm" to a cardboard cutout of Seki, he asked one question after another about things on his mind.
When asked, "What is the happiest thing that happened to you lately?" Seki shared an episode of his incredible luck at a sales event for "Sofubi" (soft vinyl figures), which he collects as a hobby. In a system where products are purchased in the order of numbers drawn in a lottery, Seki revealed that he drew early numbers two years in a row—11th last year and 9th this year—at a venue with over 600 people in line. "I thought there was no way it would happen two years in a row..." "But because of that, I was able to buy the Sofubi I wanted!" Seki said happily. Toya was amazed, saying, "The probability of doing that two years in a row is incredibly low! That's amazing!" He nodded with a smile, adding, "I see—so that's the kind of thing that gets you excited, Mr. Seki."
Additionally, when asked "Do you drink alcohol?" Seki replied, "It's not that I can't drink, but I turn red very easily, so I hardly drink at all." On the other hand, Toya revealed, "I like highballs," leading to a surprise invitation from Seki: "In that case, even though I don't drink, let's go out for a drink together!"
Furthermore, to the question "What should people do while they are in their 20s?" Seki confessed to a "regret" from his younger days. Reflecting on an experience where he turned down an offer from a V-Cinema (direct-to-video film) director, thinking "I'm not ready for this yet," he gave serious advice: "If an opportunity comes while you're young, you should take the challenge no matter what, even if you might fail." He added, "If you think you'll wait until a little more time has passed, before you know it, you'll just keep getting older." Toya resonated deeply with those words, saying, "You do tend to think that maybe you're not at that stage yet," and appeared moved, stating, "I want to treasure those words."
