It was also announced that the "Life-sized Unicorn Gundam Statue," which has been a popular landmark in Odaiba since 2017, will end its exhibition at the end of August 2026. New decal decorations and events are planned leading up to the finale. As a successor to this, the "Gundam Landmark Project" will begin, aiming to create new facilities in Japan that fans from around the world will want to visit.

Furthermore, from January 9 to 11, 2027, a celebration event for fans called "GUNDAM-Con," which will consolidate world tournaments and other activities, will be held at Makuhari Messe.

In 2029, an exhibition titled "Yoshiyuki Tomino Exhibition (Working Title)" will be held at the Tokyo National Museum to look back on the career of Yoshiyuki Tomino, the creator of the series. Additionally, as part of regional revitalization efforts, the "Gundam Festival Project," where Gundam participates in local traditional festivals across various regions, will be further expanded starting in fiscal year 2026.

■ Anniversary and Collaboration News

Additionally, in honor of April 7, 1979—the broadcast date of the first episode of the original anime—April 7 has been officially certified as "Gundam Day" by the Japan Anniversary Association.

Finally, the second "GUNDAM" x "hololive production" special collaboration with COVER Corp. was announced, unveiling new participating talents and original-colored Mobile Suits. This time, six participants were revealed: Subaru Oozora (Wing Gundam Zero EW), Pekora Usada (Unicorn Gundam), Watame Tsunomaki (Providence Gundam), Mori Calliope (Gundam Epion), IRyS (Destiny Gundam), and Hajime Todoroki (Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina).
