![[Photos/Images] "Why is it only times like this..." Fans Burst into Laughter at Anna Yanami from "Too Many Losing Heroines!" Looking Too Pitiful Despite Winning 1st Place in User Vote 1st](https://times-abema.ismcdn.jp/mwimgs/a/6/724w/img_a6ec0e130bf541a1a8e7b4b8fecc517d764151.png)
On the official X account for "Too Many Losing Heroines! (Makeine)," the results of the "Who is the True Losing Heroine?! Makeine of Makeines Championship"—a project where users vote to determine the content of a short story bonus for purchasing the next volume of the novel—have been announced, becoming a huge topic of conversation.
In line with the theme of "losing heroines," this project certifies the character who placed 2nd in the vote as the "true losing heroine," and that character becomes the main heroine of the bonus short story for the next volume. The official account posted an image of the ranking results along with the comment, "Congratulations on becoming the true losing heroine (?)."
Looking at the released image, Tiara Basori (CV: Sumire Morohoshi), who came in 2nd place with 408 points just behind the 1st place Anna Yanami (CV: Hikaru Tono) with 432 points, is placed on the highest pedestal in the center. She is featured prominently wearing a blue sash that reads "True Losing Heroine Decided" and "Main Heroine of Volume 9 Bonus SS," creating an unusual reversal for a standard ranking image where the 1st place Anna and 3rd place Yumeko Shikiya are placed on the lower pedestals beneath her.
"Too Many Losing Heroines!" is an anime series based on the light novel by Takibi Amamori. Having won the Gagaga Award at the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Award, it is a chaotic, losing-streak youth story about a background-character high school protagonist who gets tangled up with unfortunate "losing heroines" who failed to win the hearts of their crushes. The first season of the TV anime aired from July 2024, and the production of a second season has also been announced.
Fans who saw this post flooded it with witty retorts and amazed reactions that perfectly embody the spirit of the work, such as "Why do you have to win 1st place only at times like this, Yanami-san? lol", "Why is the 2nd place Tiara-chan displayed so huge?", "Thinking about it, this ranking is just brutal, it made me laugh," and "She really is a losing heroine to her very core..."
