"The Greatest Magicmaster's Retirement Plan" TV Anime Confirmed for 2027, Starring Yūto Uemura, with a New Prequel Manga Series Also Launching

A TV anime adaptation of "The Greatest Magicmaster's Retirement Plan" has been confirmed. Along with this announcement, a teaser visual and a teaser PV featuring the protagonist Alus Reigin have been released for the first time. In addition, part of the cast and staff information has been unveiled, and celebratory comments and illustrations from the original creators have arrived. Furthermore, to commemorate the anime adaptation, the launch of a new prequel manga series focusing on Alus has also been decided.

This work is a school action fantasy that follows Alus Reigin, the strongest magicmaster who stands at the pinnacle of over 100,000 magicmasters, as he hides his true identity to attend a magic academy, taking on the challenges of training future generations and subjugating monsters. The series has expanded widely across original novels and manga adaptations, surpassing a cumulative total of 1 million copies in circulation. The TV anime adaptation of this popular title has been greenlit, and broadcasting will begin in 2027 on the CBC/TBS network's 28 nationwide stations within the "AGARU ANIME" programming block.

In the unveiled teaser visual, the protagonist Alus is depicted holding his magicmaster weapon "AWR" with a composed expression, against the backdrop of the iconic Tower of Babel and a world devastated by monsters. The visual successfully captures the dignity and presence worthy of the strongest magicmaster.

In the teaser PV released alongside it, in addition to scenes showing Alus subjugating monsters with his overwhelming power as the strongest magicmaster, moments hinting at new encounters at the magic academy are also depicted, crafting a video that signals the beginning of Alus's new life.
