[Photos/Images] "I shouldn't have looked at this in public lol" – Photo of Frieren fitting perfectly into Osaka's Billiken becomes hot topic, making fans "laugh out loud" 1st

A photo of Frieren fitted into the face cutout of a Billiken statue was posted on the official X account of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," creating a huge buzz.

The Billiken is famous for the statue enshrined at Tsutenkaku Tower in Shinsekai, Osaka. Known as a god of good luck, it is said that rubbing the soles of its feet makes wishes come true. In the newly released image, accompanied by the short text "Billy-ken," a Frieren plushie with a squinting expression is seen fitting perfectly into the face section of a golden Billiken statue placed next to a model of Tsutenkaku Tower. The mismatch between the plump, gleaming golden body and the expressionless elf's face is delightfully surreal.

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a smash-hit fantasy manga created by Kanehito Yamada (story) and Tsukasa Abe (artwork). It follows Frieren, an elf mage who defeated the Demon King alongside the Hero's party, as she embarks on a new journey to understand humans following the death of her former companion, the Hero Himmel. Woven through the perspective of her eternal lifespan, the bittersweet yet heartwarming human drama has captivated many people.

In response to this playful post from the official account, fans flooded it with humorous commentary, including: "This is so unfair lol," "She's not even Frieren anymore," "The official Frieren account is in Osaka!", "To think we'd get to touch Lady Frieren's feet," "In Billy-ken's case, rubbing her head seems like it would bring good fortune," "I burst out laughing the moment I saw this," and "I shouldn't have looked at this in public lol."
