Many fans seemed deeply moved by the development where the two, who had deepened their bond, "re-met" once again after the shocking plot twist of Subaru's memory loss. The production using the insert song "Stay Alive" sung by Emilia, which is familiar from Season 1, was also well-received, sparking a storm of praise online with comments such as, "The scene playing along with Stay Alive is just too divine," "I thought this was an incredibly moving episode for people who have truly watched Re:ZERO since episode 1," "It's so crazy emotional I'm gonna dieee...!!!!!!!", "An absolute masterpiece of an episode!!", and "My emotions are an absolute wreck right now."
However, even though he has steeled his resolve, Subaru's memories have still not returned. How will they escape this pinch from here on out? The sequel, "Recapture Phase" (Dakkan-hen, 8 episodes in total), is scheduled to start broadcasting on August 12.
The anime "Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-" series is based on the popular light novel from MF Bunko J (Original Work: Tappei Nagatsuki / Illustration: Shinichirō Ōtsuka). It is a dark fantasy where Subaru, who suddenly gets lost in another world, faces a harsh destiny while using his "Return by Death" ability to rewind time when he dies.
Episode 77: "Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-"
[Synopsis]
Subaru is caught at the scene searching for the missing corpse of Meili and is imprisoned in an ice cage. Despite his desperate pleas that he has amnesia, Ram's misunderstanding, suspecting Subaru of being an impostor, remains unresolved, and he loses consciousness due to wind magic. However, when he wakes up later, Subaru finds himself outside the cage, with the words "Subaru Natsuki was here" carved all over the surrounding walls. As Subaru is thrown into confusion by a series of events he has no recollection of, Reid Astrea, who should not be on the fourth floor, awaits behind him.
