Despite his desperate pleas that he has amnesia, Ram's misunderstanding, suspecting Subaru of being an impostor, remains unresolved, and he loses consciousness due to wind magic. However, when he wakes up later, Subaru finds himself outside the cage, with the words "Subaru Natsuki was here" carved all over the surrounding walls. As Subaru is thrown into confusion by a series of events he has no recollection of, Reid Astrea, who should not be on the fourth floor, awaits behind him.
