20th Century to Perform Opening Theme for MAO Cour 2! Inuyasha OP Also Available for a Limited Time

20th Century's new song “Bokura ga Uwagaki suru Sekai” has been selected as the opening theme for Cour 2 of the anime MAO. Additionally, the non-credit opening video for the anime Inuyasha (featuring V6's “CHANGE THE WORLD”) will be released for a limited time.

The original manga is MAO, the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi, whose previous works have surpassed 200 million copies in cumulative worldwide circulation. Serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday (Shogakukan) since 2019, this series is a story that blends an immersive dark fantasy with a time-slip mystery.

It has been announced that Masayuki Sakamoto, Hiroshi Nagano, and Yoshihiko Inohara of 20th Century—who were formerly active as V6—will handle the opening theme for the anime based on Takahashi's work, marking 26 years since Inuyasha. The opening theme for Cour 2 of the TV anime MAO has been decided as 20th Century's new song “Bokura ga Uwagaki suru Sekai,” and comments from the members have also arrived. Cour 2 will begin with Episode 14, broadcasting on Saturday, July 4.

Furthermore, to commemorate the selection of 20th Century for the TV anime MAO Cour 2 opening theme, the TV anime Inuyasha non-credit opening video (featuring V6's “CHANGE THE WORLD”) will be released for a limited time.
