On the official Frieren: Beyond Journey's End X account, an image of Frieren dressed up as a historical figure was released under the title "Cao Cao Frieren," causing a massive stir as the comment section turned into a witty joke festival.

In the published photo, a Frieren plushie can be seen wearing a splendid black mustache shaped like the character for "eight" and a traditional crown, cosplaying as Cao Cao, a warlord who appears in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and other historical texts.
