In conjunction with the movie announcement, a teaser trailer has been released on YouTube. The trailer features developments suggesting that Kotetsu and his friends might encounter aliens, blending animation with the mystical, powerful, and realistic live-action footage of space.

The synopsis has also been revealed. Kotetsu, a first-year student in the Pilot Department at the Animal Country Space Academy, gets incredibly excited one day when he hears a rumor that "there's an alien around here!?" He and his academy friends split up to look for the alien, but the more they investigate UFOs, lunar exploration, the mysteries of Mars, and black holes, the more they realize how much they don't know about space. Will Kotetsu and his friends really be able to find an alien? With the rallying cry, "Let's head out on a quick adventure to find aliens!", a grand adventure full of excitement and wonder begins.

I draw the original manga hoping that children will find space just a little bit interesting. Space is full of wonders. Even though outer space is about minus 270 degrees, you don't feel cold because there is no air. Isn't that fascinating? I am absolutely thrilled about the movie adaptation.
