Ahead of the movie's release, comments from the regular cast and production staff have been released all at once.
Comment from Natsumi Fujiwara (Kotetsu)
Even though a few years have passed since the anime ended, I am so incredibly happy that everyone will get to see a new episode of Kotetsu and his friends as a movie! To everyone who has always cheered for Kotetsu and everyone doing their best at the Space Academy, thank you so much. What on earth is this alien that clumsily showed up...?! Please look forward to it!
Comment from Junya Enoki (Nico)
Just when I thought "Kotetsu-kun" was coming back after a long time, it's actually a theatrical movie!! I'm thrilled to be able to play Nico again. I think we will learn a lot of new things about space together with Kotetsu and his friends this time too. Everyone, please look forward to it!
Comment from Masashi Tamaki (Lu)
A movie version of Kotetsu-kun feels like a dream. Kotetsu and his friends, who have served as a bridge connecting space and children for years, are finally coming to the big screen! The cute animals will be moving all around the screen. It's a movie packed with the romance of space. Please look forward to it.
Comment from Ayana Taketatsu (Hikaru)
Congratulations on the movie adaptation, Kotetsu-kun! I was feeling lonely after my beloved Kotetsu-kun TV series ended, so I was surprised to hear about the movie adaptation this time. While keeping that signature "nanchara" vibe, the story is packed with the charm of space that adults and children alike can enjoy! I hope you enjoy it on the big screen at the theater! Thank you very much! ♪
Comment from Akane Yamaguchi (Otama)
Wow, "Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun" is becoming a movie! Yay! The days of adventure into space for Kotetsu and the others are still continuing, and I am so happy that everyone can watch them again! Otama is as energetic as ever in the movie version!!! Please look forward to further updates and the release!
Comment from Kappei Yamaguchi (Jii-chan/Grandpa)
"Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun" is getting a theatrical movie?! I'm so, so happy as Grandpa to see the round, cute Kotetsu and friends on the big screen! Will they really find an alien? Let's learn various things about space with live-action explanations and take another step closer to space together.
Comment from Yutaka Aoyama (School Principal)
O-hello! Everyone, Kotetsu-kun is finally coming to movie theaters! Making a movie about space to move your hearts is so romantic~♪ As the School Principal, I will definitely sneak into the theater to witness the success of our Space Academy students! Before I head off to the moon for a bit, I'm going to head to the theater for a bit!
Comment from Tsuyoshi Koyama (Tobio)
A movie version of "Kotetsu-kun," of all things. I was shocked. To think the day would come when I could play Tobio, that super-gruff old guy running the horumon (offal) BBQ joint, in a theatrical movie. I had a blast recording alongside the regular cast members whom I hadn't seen in a while. To all you adults buried under daily life: wouldn't it be nice to experience this work and lose yourself in thoughts about space once in a while, just like you used to?
Comment from Kensuke Nishi (Izumi Sensei)
To think the day would come when we could meet Kotetsu-kun and his friends at the theater...! As Izumi Sensei, I am so happy to meet my hard-working students again. Please enjoy the story of space, which is still full of mysteries, at the theater together with Kotetsu-kun and his friends!
Comment from Tomokazu Sugita (Enban-san/Flying Saucer)
Huh? Is Enban-san appearing too? Yay!! I hear that among children, Kotetsu-kun is the go-to image when they think of space things. I'm really grateful. I'd love to keep appearing in the future.
Comment from Tsuyoshi Muro (Narrator, DAXA-kun)
I get to stand in the world of "Uchū Nanchara" once again. Thank you for accepting my "nanchara narration" and DAXA-kun, despite how out of place they might feel. I've received a lot of feedback that various kids are watching it. With the massive, massive goal of hearing those kids' voices in the theater on the big screen, I want to do my absolute best to pull off the "nanchara" vibe this time as well. I'm looking forward to seeing Kotetsu-kun. Kids, wait for me. Parents, please go to the movie theater with them. Let's experience the "nanchara" together. Together, let's think about space.
Comment from Director Yoshinori Tsutsui
"Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun" has become a movie for the very first time. Tasked with finding an alien, Kotetsu-kun and his friends dash into the forest, into caves, and even fly out into space (?). It's packed with various space facts and real footage of the moon and Mars. I would be delighted if you could enjoy searching for the alien full of curiosity alongside Kotetsu-kun and his friends.
Comment from Yoichi Kato (Screenplay)
We packed the curiosity-filled world of "Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun" with real space footage and the latest science. Please discover the wonders and fun of space along with Kotetsu and his friends as they head out to look for an alien. Laugh, be surprised, and feel like space is just a little closer to you. I hope it becomes that kind of movie.
Comment from Hazumu Sakuta (TV Anime Series Director)
Kotetsu-kun and his friends, who started out as a short anime, are finally on the movie screen! As the director who handled the TV series, nothing makes me happier than this. I look forward to seeing what they will look like on the theater screen as an audience member myself. And actually... I'm secretly participating with a "certain voice" too!
