The TV anime "From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II" is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Wednesday, July 8. Ahead of the broadcast, the synopsis and advance cuts for Episode 1, along with a special action movie, have been released.

This work is a fantasy series based on the novel by Shigeru Sagazaki (illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima). The total number of copies in circulation for the series, including the manga adaptation and spin-offs, has surpassed 10 million. The first season of the TV anime, which aired in April 2025, was streamed exclusively worldwide on Prime Video, ranking in the top 10 in more than 45 countries and regions globally. On this occasion, the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 1 of Season 2 were revealed during the live-streamed event "TV Asahi New Anime Festival - Summer 2026." Hiroaki Hirata, who plays Beryl Gardenant, and Yuki Hirose, who plays Curuni Crueciel, appeared at the event.
