【写真・画像】異色の“能”アニメ「ワールド イズ ダンシング」第1話に「まるでアート作品のよう」「作画がめっちゃ美麗」度肝を抜かれる視聴者続出 1枚目

"The World Is Dancing," a unique new anime depicting the world of "Noh," began broadcasting on July 2. With breathtaking depictions, including the dance that captured the protagonist's heart, praise has poured in from viewers, with comments like "The visuals were like a piece of art" and "I watched the first episode, but are we sure this isn't a theatrical movie??"

The story is set in 1374, a turbulent era marked by the ongoing conflict between the Northern and Southern Courts. It depicts the early life of Zeami, the creator of Noh. In Episode 1, "Why Do People Dance?", a young boy named Oniyasha (CV: Yumiri Hanamori), who would later become Zeami, happens to witness the dance of a Shirabyoshi (a female dancer who performed in male attire, a style popular from the late Heian to the Kamakura period).

Oniyasha is the son of Kan'ami (CV: Katsuyuki Konishi), the leader of the Kanzeza troupe, and is destined to lead the troupe in the future. However, he questions the very purpose of dancing, asking himself, "Why do people dance?", and spends his days lacking motivation. Yet, for the first time, he feels moved ("yoi") when he sees a woman dancing with all her heart in a barn.

Since the anime is themed around Noh and dancing, convincing depictions are essential. "The World Is Dancing" brilliantly clears this high hurdle, leaving a succession of viewers astonished. Comments included: "The animation is stunning," "The music, voice actors, and Noh direction exceeded my expectations in quality," "The visuals were like a piece of art," "I watched the first episode, but are we sure this isn't a theatrical movie??", and "The visuals and music are beautiful and grand, and the unique direction totally draws you in." Quoting lines from the show, a chorus of praise has erupted, with viewers chiming in, "No matter how many times I watch it, it is 'yoi' (good)..." and "Good, yoi!"
