King Gnu and MILLENNIUM PARADE Team Up for the First Time on Anime 'The Ghost in the Shell,' New Fifth Promotional Video Released

The opening theme for the TV anime 'The Ghost in the Shell,' set to begin airing July 7 on the Kansai TV/Fuji TV network, has been confirmed as King Gnu's "GO GHOST."

The series' ending theme features "Blue" by MILLENNIUM PARADE, led by Daiki Tsuneta, marking the first time King Gnu and MILLENNIUM PARADE have provided theme songs for the same work simultaneously.

A fifth promotional video using the opening theme "GO GHOST" has also been released. The fast-paced footage matches the song, offering glimpses of the varied expressions of protagonist Motoko Kusanagi and other members of Public Security Section 9, as well as the series' grand worldview.

"The Ghost in the Shell" is a landmark cyberpunk sci-fi work that traces its origins to the comic first published by Shirow Masamune in 1989. The internationally acclaimed Science SARU is handling the animation for this production, newly depicting the exploits of a special unit led by the full-body cyborg Motoko Kusanagi.
