"Jujutsu Kaisen" Maki Zenin Cosplay: Capturing a "Beautifully Scarred Expression"

"AnimeJapan 2026" was held from March 28 to 29, 2026. Along with photos of tigerish Taiga, who participated in a cosplay of Maki Zenin from "Jujutsu Kaisen," we bring you an interview where we asked her about what inspired her to cosplay Maki Zenin and her attention to detail.

—What inspired you to cosplay Maki Zenin from "Jujutsu Kaisen" this time?

tigerish Taiga (hereafter Taiga): In the story of Maki概 depicted in "Jujutsu Kaisen" Season 3 "The Culling Game Part 1," the scene between Maki and Mai was so heartbreaking, but the battle scenes were incredibly cool, and she became my favorite character! She has so many different sides to her that I absolutely knew I wanted to cosplay her, and it looked like a lot of fun. Plus, I figured there would definitely be people cosplaying Naoya Zenin at "AnimeJapan 2026," so I chose to cosplay Maki.
