Conversation Between Akane and Master Shiguma in "Akane Kobanashi" Takes 1st Place! Anime "Akane-banashi" Final Episode (Episode 12) Top 3 Most Commented Scenes

On the official ABEMA Anime X account, the top 3 most commented scenes during the broadcast of "Akane-banashi" Episode 12, "Graduation," were announced.

"Akane-banashi" is based on the rakugo manga by Yūki Suenaga and Takamasa Mōe, currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). Captivated by her father's magical rakugo—the traditional art of comic storytelling—as she grew up, a young girl named Akane Ōsaki dives into the world of rakugo herself following the events surrounding her father's "Shin'uchi promotion exam." This authentic rakugo story follows her growth as she aims for the highest rank of "Shin'uchi."

The intense drama of the rakugoka (storytellers) who stake their lives on the art of storytelling has sparked widespread conversation, earning high praise as a work that has carved out a new genre in shonen manga. The long-awaited first anime adaptation began airing in April 2026. It features a star-studded cast, including Anna Nagase (as Akane Ōsaki), Takuya Eguchi (as Karashi Nerimaya), Rie Takahashi (as Hikaru Kōragi), and Akihisa Shiono (as Kaisei Arakawa).

ABEMA conducted an independent survey of the scenes that gathered the most viewer comments from Episode 12, "Graduation," which aired on Saturday, June 20. The results were released on the official ABEMA Anime X account as the "Top 3 Most Commented Scenes from 'Akane-banashi' Episode 12."
