The newest installment in the TV anime series The Ghost in the Shell began broadcasting on July 7, 2026 (Tuesday) in the "Ka Anibaru!!" programming block on the Kansai TV/Fuji TV network. To mark the premiere, creditless versions of the opening and ending videos have been released on YouTube.

The opening theme is King Gnu's new song "GO GHOST," while the ending theme is "Blue" by MILLENNIUM PARADE feat. Saya Gray and Daniel Caesar. This marks the first time in history that both projects, led by Daiki Tsunoda, have provided theme songs for the same work as a double feature.

It was also announced that the original soundtrack for the series will be released on September 9, 2026 (Wednesday). Taisei Iwasaki will serve as music director and composer, working alongside Ryo Konishi and YUKI KANESAKA in a three-person co-production. The first production run of the CD will come in special packaging, featuring a newly commissioned illustration by tarou2, supervised by Science SARU, on the jacket. The vinyl edition (2LP) is scheduled for release on September 30 (Wednesday).

In addition, a collaboration with Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has been confirmed, and about 40,000 tie-in posters for the "FY2026 White Paper on Science, Technology and Innovation" will be distributed to schools and other institutions nationwide.
