Stage Play DANDADAN Second PV & Supernatural Visuals Unveiled! Mayumi Tanaka Cast as Voice of Turbo Granny

Regarding the manga 'Dandadan,' the second promotional video and paranormal entity visuals for its first-ever stage play adaptation, 'Dandadan' ~Occultic Stage~, have been released, and the voice cast has also been revealed.

The newly released second PV, titled "Encounter Chapter," was directed by Naoyoshi Kawamatsu, an active horror film director, and was filmed on location at an actual abandoned building and a disused tunnel. It realistically recreates the opening encounter scene from the original comic, in which Momo — who believes in ghosts but not aliens — and Okarun — who believes in aliens but not ghosts — head to a UFO hotspot at an abandoned hospital and a haunted tunnel, respectively.

It was also announced that Mayumi Tanaka, who voices the same role in the TV anime, will provide the voice for Turbo Granny, the yokai Okarun first encounters. In addition, supernatural visuals of Turbo Granny and Acrobatic Silky, a yokai known for its acrobatic movements, were also released.

The performance will run from August 26 (Wed) to September 3 (Thu), 2026, at Nippon Seinenkan Hall in Tokyo, and from September 11 (Fri) to September 13 (Sun) at Sky Theater MBS in Osaka. The production is part of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' "Reiwa 8 Fiscal Year Program to Support Children's Experience of Theatrical and Musical Performances at Theaters and Concert Halls," under which children from elementary school age to 18 are invited free of charge, and accompanying guests aged 19 and over can attend at a special half-price rate.
