——While having that approach, what points were you conscious of in your back-and-forth interactions with Haruka Shiraishi, who plays Flora?

Takahashi: What I was conscious of was how I received her acting. When flinching after being told horrible things, I was mindful of conveying an atmosphere that suggested this treatment was semi-permanent for Carolina.

——Flora targets Carolina with hostility, believing that their mother passed away because Carolina was born. For Carolina, that had been going on continuously ever since she could remember.

Takahashi: Yes, that's right. I was conscious that Episode 1 exists on that direct continuation.

——How Carolina, with such a background, weaves a love story with Edward—who is clumsy in a different way—is also a major highlight of the entire work. What was your impression of that part?

Takahashi: I really love the pure sense of distance between the two, and found it very endearing. I first encountered the original light novel when I received the offer for the special PV, and I remember talking with Mr. (Makoto) Furukawa (who plays Edward) during the recording session about how amazing the distance between them was (lol).

My first impression was that the balance of the frustrating hesitation was fascinating, partly because it is a romance intertwined with the self-deprecation and lack of a place to belong that each of them carries.

——Finally, could you please give a message to the fans who are looking forward to the broadcast?

Takahashi: I believe this is a work that I want many different people to see, serving as an entry point even if it is their first time experiencing this kind of "Saint" work. It has a great tempo and a refreshing feel, and I'm sure it will give you strength, so please do watch it.

How will Carolina regain the form she originally possessed? Please look forward to the broadcast while also paying attention to the changes in Takahashi's performance.
